Annual Juniper Harvest on Box Hill

Oct 13, 2015

It's that time of year again. We are picking the juniper berries on Box Hill in conjunction with the National Trust and Forest Research this week. We use the berries in our gin plus will also be using a batch to propagate a new population of juniper for planting out on Juniper Top in two years time as part of our conservation work with the Forestry Commission, the National Trust and Natural England.

The juniper berries look fantastic this year particularly higher on the hill; a little larger and more fleshy than last year's crop. Should make another delicious batch of gin!
